Navigating a “new normal” and dealing with supply chain issues, staffing issues and product availability was a real challenge for all builders. It was an obstacle that we were unwilling to submit to. The Bay Isles Modern home would go on to be completed one week ahead of the contract schedule and less than 1.5% over the original pre-pandemic contract price. This is a testament to the drive and focus of our team and the effectiveness of the technology that we bring to custom home building.
The Bay Isles Modern home has been awarded the 2023 Grand Aurora winner for the category of custom home 5,000 – 10,000 sq ft. by the Southeastern Builder’s Conference. An organization that spans 11 states as well as the eastern Caribbean. It was also selected as Home & Design’s fall cover for 2023, marking the 4th cover shot awarded to a Trinity built home in 5 years.
Having first laid eyes on the renderings and plans for the modern custom home in Bay Isles, I can remember feeling awestruck at the home and the client’s plans. The project was a retirement home for a couple who had recently relocated from New England. Their vision was to design and build a spectacular modern home with a complete concrete shell structure to weather anything mother nature could throw at it. Having been selected as the builder and given the opportunity to bring this remarkable home to reality is an opportunity and blessing that we will always be grateful for.
Utilizing our BIM software technology, we immediately started to construct the three-dimensional model for this home which is our trial run so to speak. By creating a virtual replica of the home using the architect’s design and structural engineer’s prescription for materials and specifications we were able to see the process and plan for an efficient build. Shortly after starting this project, the world was forever changed by Covid.
