The project in total took 12 months from start to completion, which was exactly what we had contracted for and was an ambitious schedule. Given the fact that this home is a part time residence, we wanted to ensure that our clients only missed one season of use. The project turned out better than our clients could’ve imagined and earned a feature in home & design magazine. We still look forward to the winter months when our clients are back in Sarasota so we can stop in by water and share a visit together.
Shortly after the completion of our Bayside Estate project, it was seen in Home & Design magazine by the owners of this incredible property. They were first interested in replacing the windows in their home to bring them up to hurricane code. After seeing the transformation of the Bayside Estate, a home they were familiar with, they began to imagine what possibilities existed for their home. This was a home that they had built 32 years prior. A home they raised their family in and a home that they loved but were ready for something new. We walked the home for a few hours and spoke about options and possibilities. They were intrigued by a custom ceiling we had built on a previous home and requested the same design be constructed in their home. I assured them, that we could give them something just as great but also unique to their home. The meeting went better than I could’ve hoped for and soon we’d be commencing demolition.
