This was one of our favorite projects, we love wood working here at Trinity Construction and we were super excited when we were brought on for a new build out project by a staple attraction of Sarasota, Florida, Selby Gardens. Selby Gardens is a 15 acre magnificent botanical garden, available to the public and located at 900 South Palm Avenue in Sarasota, Florida.
Having a solid background in custom carpentry we were brought in to construct the 7,000 sq ft IPE deck and Marie Selby Gardens Children’s Rainforest Garden. This project includes as massive deck with a lot of unique and angled cuts to give it the angled and natural rainforest feel. Above this deck we constructed various zigzagged walkways with accompanying guard rails and handrails, as well as multiple rope bridges, consisting of a wood base, with rope guardrails and supports, giving this entire scenery a really unique rainforest look and feel.
This is a type of project that only comes around once in a while, we jumped at the opportunity to be a part of this amazing project.Utilizing our in house carpentry team we completed all framing, decking, guardrails, rope bridges and elevated structures for this project. It is a project that we are extremely proud to be apart of. This Rainforest Garden is still enjoyed daily by children at Selby Gardens to this day.
