National recognition is a different kind of proof. It comes from a panel with no local loyalty and no reason to be kind, judging your work against the best homes in the country.
At the 2025 Best in American Living Awards, the National Association of Home Builders’ premier residential design program, three Trinity homes were honored. Sand Dune House, designed with DSDG Architects, won Gold for Best Concrete Home Design. Half Light House, also designed with DSDG, earned Silver in the same category. And Solara Point took Silver for Best On-the-Boards Single-Family Home. The winners were announced at the International Builders’ Show in Orlando, in a field of nearly 650 submissions from across the country.
Two of the three wins are in concrete home design, which is fitting. On the barrier islands, a home is engineered for surge and wind before anyone chooses a finish, and concrete is how you build something meant to stand where it sits. The work that earns a national award is usually the work that does not photograph: the model that runs months ahead of the field, the budget kept in the open, and a builder on site every day holding the standard.
We are grateful to the architects and designers we built these homes alongside, and to the clients who trusted us with them.
If you are planning a home on the coast, we would be glad to talk about what it takes to build it well.
