A home in the Old Northeast,
built to honor the street it sits on
Historic Old Northeast is St. Petersburg’s most beloved historic neighborhood: brick streets, mature oaks, and homes worth restoring rather than replacing. Trinity builds and renovates the way it expects: the work modeled in full before ground breaks, the budget laid out in the open, and a builder on site every day.
What it takes to
build well in the Old Northeast
Historic Old Northeast runs along the bay just north of downtown St. Petersburg, a neighborhood of 1910s and 1920s homes on brick streets, prized for its character and its proximity to the water. Much of the best work here is renovation and sensitive infill: bringing a historic home up to a current standard, or building new in a way that respects the street.
That setting is the whole appeal, and it is what makes building here a different job. Historic-district guidelines shape what can change and how. Older structures hide surprises behind the walls. Lots are close together and the work happens in full view of neighbors who care. That is the work Trinity does before the work: we model the home before demolition so the unknowns are planned for instead of discovered mid-project, and we keep full-time supervision on site so the standard holds.
The standard
we build to
A record of building at this level
Trinity builds at the level the Old Northeast expects. Half Light House, pictured, was named Best in Show at the 2024 SEBC Aurora Awards, the top honor across every custom home entered. Trinity’s work has also earned Gold at the 2025 NAHB Best in American Living Awards and Builder of the Year from the region’s AIA chapter, and a Silver for Best Renovated or Restored Single House. It is the same discipline we bring to an Old Northeast home: open books, the work modeled months ahead of the field, and a builder on your site every day.
The same standard,
set from the start
Every Old Northeast home Trinity builds or renovates runs on the same disciplines. Open-book budgeting, so you see where your money goes and the contingency is a visible line, not a surprise. BIM-driven planning the trades build against. Full-time on-site supervision, not a project manager checking in between other jobs. It is the part of building that does not photograph, and it is the part that protects the home you can see.
The architects and designers
we build alongside
The best Old Northeast homes come from talented professionals collaborating without ego. Trinity builds alongside the architect and interior designer our clients already trust, protecting the design intent and bringing the construction expertise that makes it real. If you are early in the process, we can point you to architects whose work fits a historic neighborhood.

Questions buyers in the Old Northeast ask
Does Trinity build in the Old Northeast?
Yes. Trinity builds new custom homes and high-value renovations in the Old Northeast and across the St. Petersburg area, to the standard the neighborhood expects.
How much does it cost to build or renovate a home in the Old Northeast?
It depends on the site, the size, and the level of finish, which is exactly why Trinity budgets in the open from the first conversation, so you see where every dollar sits at every point in the build.
Do you take on renovations, or only new construction?
Both. Much of the best work in a historic neighborhood is renovation and sensitive infill, and Trinity’s award record includes a Silver for Best Renovated or Restored Single House. The Trinity standard holds on a renovation as firmly as on new construction.
Will you work with our architect?
Yes. Trinity builds alongside your architect and interior designer, protecting the design intent while bringing construction expertise that improves execution, durability, and performance.
